VIAB today is a family-owned industrial conglomerate headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden. The company operates in five areas: Associates, Tangibles, Venture Capital, Market Portfolio and Industrial & Commercial.

The wholly-owned companies have joint sales of just over SEK 1.7 billion (2006). Share trading amounts to SEK 250 million and the company’s tangible assets include forest and real estate.

Investment has always been key for VIAB, and it remains so today. VIAB’s investments include venture capital for online trading companies and biomedicine.
We also help develop small and medium-sized enterprises. VIAB is a highly active company, and acquisitions in 2006 included Libro Invest, Nokalux and 50% of SC Communication, for instance. We also invested in forest, established subsidiaries in China and made logistical investments worth several million kronor for Markslöjd Lighting Group.
